GEO glossary
LLM SEO
LLM SEO is the practice of optimising a brand and its content so that large language models like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude cite, quote and recommend it in their answers. It is used interchangeably with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
Also known as: large language model SEO
The term frames the work as SEO aimed at large language models rather than search-result pages. The goal shifts from ranking a page to being one of the sources a model names. We use GEO as the umbrella term.
